Product description
Fricandeau is a lean piece of meat from the topside, loin or the muscle of the pig. Fricandeau contains a relatively high amount of protein 23 grams per 100 grams.  

Heyde Hoeve 
Heyde Hoeve farm is located in the village of Gerwen, in the municipality of Nuenen. The village is located in the Meierij of s-Hertogenbosch. The farm is built on agricultural land that used to belong to Priory Hooionk. At Heyde Hoeve they produce meat of the Duroc breed. Duroc pigs are reddish brown colored pigs with hanging ears. There are several stories about the origin of the Duroc breed. The Duroc pig probably comes from America. This breed originated around 1800 from various red pig species. The modern Duroc pig is a cross of the Jersey Red and the older Duroc from New York. We have our own crossing at the Heyde Hoeve. Most of our pigs are pink but every now and then we have a litter of red-brown piglets!ij!
